Erasing history, controlling the narrative, is a form of control, of propaganda. Occasionally I stumble across an historical nugget, something I should have known, but didn’t. I often find these hidden or little known segments of history in novels.

I am starting the publication process on my first historical novel. There are several more in the pipes. while my characters are quasi fictional, I try to stay true to the history. I find the research fascinating, but also eye opening. My research sometimes takes me down rabbit holes I never expected - Alice in Wonderland journeys at times - as I work to make my stories both factually accurate and thought provoking.
